Forty years ago, master salesman Herbert Hawkins took a young Henry Ran under his wing and taught him something that cannot be found in any textbook — the art of selling a lifetime's most prized possession. Alongside industry pillars Jim Pavanello and the late Thomas Crosby, Henry Ran came of age in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley real estate market, shaped by mentors who understood that this business was never just about property.
